He is Mr. Chand Khan, 70 year old with loads of energy for fishing. He caught this huge catfish/wallago at yellareddy, lake near Medak.

This fish was 6.5 kg.

His current gear is Uglystick 7 Ft with Shimano Exage.

Murral/ Snakehead caught at Bheemeshwari

Dear Friends

These Murrla's/Snakeheads were caught at Bheemeshwari. These snakehead/Murral were caught using a locally made spinner form Hyderabad of size 5.

You see catching Murrla's/Snakeheads in Bheemeshwari is quite different form catching it form around Hyderabad. Bheemeshwari is a protected areas and netting is not done here.

If you go to any lake around Hyderabad like Nagarjuna Sagar, Nizam Sagar, Pocharam, you'll find dozens of Angler and fishermen with nets. Catching Murral here in these reservoirs is a tough talk you see !

Pink Carp: Caught at Bheemeshwari, Karantaka

Hi Pals,

Here are the images of Pink carp caught by one of my friend Mr. Iqbal from Hyderabad. This carp was caught in Cauvery. It was a rare kind of fish & the pleasure of landing was priceless.

The pink carp was awesome !

Tropy size: Wallago Attu / Mulley/Pathen/Catfish

This Wallago Attu / Mulley/Pathen/Catfish, was caught at Koteplally, Vikarabad, around 90 km form Hyderabad.

These fishes were caught using the same spoon lure mentioned below.
That was an awesome fish.

Spoon Lure - Catch any predatory fish !

This spoon was made by Iqbal bhai from Hyderabad, India way back in 1983.
All the anglers form Hyderabad are fans of this wonder lure. You can catch any predatory fish with this lure.

Around Hyderabad, we caught countless...mulleys of size 5 kg+ & few upto 8-9kg. These fishes were caught at Nizam Sagar, Pocharam, Manjira & Offcourse Kotepally near Vikarabad. We could not land many big fishes of size more than 10-12kg. I am trying to tell you the success of my spoon not me.

Biggest fish caught was by Iqbal Bhai.

Wallago Attu @ Pocharam Lake, Medak, India

These fishes were caught using the same spoon. Size is around 1.5kg & above..

One my friends Mr. Iqbal, the same person who caught the pink carp has been using the homemade spoon since 1983.These fishes were caught in Pocharam Lake.

Murral/Snakehead @ Kotepally Lake, Vikarabad, India

We used to get up at 3:30 reach friends home at 4:00-4:15. Reach the spot as early as possible (100-110km).

I came back 3 time without any catch.

My friends, with whom i go for fishing, have always encouraged me to keep trying and not to give up.

Fishing is certainly a skill. We need to keep improving it day by day. I keep learning this all the time i go out for fishing.

Success was attracting mural for series of 3 strikes. Though i could land only 1 out of three strikes.

Nothing like catching a fish with a homemade lure !
