This is Piranha, you'll find them in E Godavari district and many of our streams. These fishes had invaded our waters. They come from African waters, bred by fishermen in Godavari district. They call it "Roop Chand".

Pacu or Portuguese pronunciatio or Roop Chand, is a very good to eat fish; but believe me, if proper breeding program is not executed, it’s going to devastate and decimate the domestic species. As an angler myself, I personally fill very sad, as many of the domestic species has already become very rear even before this introduced species is still not found in the wild.
