Another big fish caught at Nizam Sagar by one of our team members Waris.

Snakehead, Murrel, Channa marulius of Kotepally, Vikarabad.

Dear Friends,

Kotepally lake is an amazing among all the places i've fished across Andhra, Telangana and Karnataka.

This lake has some monster fishes be it Catla, Rohu, Wallago or Snakeheads. I caught my life's first murrel at Koteplly. This lake was build on the forest area and there is  road in middle of the lake.

This fish was caught using the famous hyderabad fishing spoon.

Unlike in other places like Karnataka, Nagpur, and north India, It is very tough to catch a murrel in lakes and rivers of Andhra Pradesh due to massive netting done by fishermen.

Ather our team member had caught this fish at Kotepally and this is his first snakehead.

Fishing for Wallago attu in Manjira River near Nizamsagar, India.

Here is the report form my team members who went for fishing at Nizamsagar. These wallgo were caught using spoon lure. You can see Tariq bhai along with Iqbal bhai

You can see most of them wearing the life jacket. Whether you know swimming or not you must wear life jacket for your safety.

Wallago Attu of Srisailam

Dear Friends

This fish was caught using a spoon lure. It gave a wonderful fight. I will remember this fishig for my lifetime.

The lost half the line in my previous cast and my spool was amlost half.

The place where i casted my spoon was around 120 ft deep. I casted my spoon and let it go to the bottm and when the spoon reached the bottom i could see only a meter or two of the line in the spool.

The fish took my spoon right at the bottom.

It was an awesome fight. I will treasure this experience all my life.

Big Wallago Attu / Waluga / Pathen / Malli / Ikan Tapah of Srisailam, India.

Hello Friends,

This fish was caught by Mr.Prahakar Reddy, with his first day at angling he cuaght a very big monster.

It was just a super trip with loads of fun !!!

Murrel of Karnataka 4.2 kg

Dear Friends,

This monster Murrel / Snakehead / Channa Marulis was caught at a lake near Bidar in Karnatak.

Mohsin bhai caught this monster on our  super duper spoon lure. It was around 4.2 kg.


It is not very easy to catch one such murrel, it takes a tough man to catch one, specially in waters of Andhra & surrounding lakes in Karnataka.

Many of the rivers & lakes are badly netted and most of murrels are shy animals and these fishes are familiar to all the methods of fishing.

We have to be very careful while targeting this species. The dress you wear has to match with surroundings and so many more precautions to be taken in the process.

They are smart fishes and catching a murrel means you're a hero for the day.

The best time to fish snakehead is either morning or evenings, though you get them in an part of the day.

There is a good list of what can be used to catch these predators. Hers is the list

1. Spinners
1. Aglia silver plain and dressed - size 4 and , these work best.
2. Bluefox - size 4 & 5
3. Spoons - small and big
4. Cleo spoons
5. Frogs 
6. Small rattlers like rapalas make would do.

Srisailam Fishes - 1

These fishes were caught at Srisailam recently before the floods in Krishna river.

Srisailam : Waters, Hills and fishes.

Dear freinds,

We had some lovely sessions at Srisailam, though i could not capture all of them. Caught some decent fishes of all sizes. These include Rohu, Catla, Mirgal, Kalbose & Wallago attu.

As usual the Wolleys were at their best. The best fight ever given by wolleys was only at Srisaila waters.

Caught plenty of Karmeenu / Pearlspots and tilapias using flour bait.

 

 

The best was the tilapia of more than 1.5kg. In a span of 1 hour we caught around 15 such big ones and imagine the fish cleaning person was also surprised to see such a big one.

Dear Friends,

This was an amazing trip of the season. With me were Sultan Masqati, Shakeel bhai, Umar faoorq and Junaid.

20 Pound River Monster - Caught at Nizamsagar

Hi,

This fish gave suuper fight. It was a 10kg wallago attu, pulling the drag for 3 minutes. This fish was caught by Sultan Masqati.

It took some decent time to land this fish. It was a very rocky surface followed 30-40ft deep water  where we caught this fish.

Spoon was the last bait used by this fish.
