Monster Murrel - Hyderabad

Dear Friends,

Let me introduce you to Owaise Farooqui, one of the finest anglers of Hyderabad.

He has many such wonderful catches in his record. Owaise bhai is good at Sing ka shikar, this he had been doing it since so many years.

Hope will write more about him and post more such catches in coming posts.

Murrel, Snakehead caught at Nagarjunasagar

Dear Friends,

Here is the picture i could not upload. These murrels / snakehead / Haruan were caught in October end at Nagarjunasagar.

It was raining murrels , yet another successful sojurn of the Masab Tank Gang lead by our captain.. Iqbal Bhai who stole the show with 3 catches [ 11 kgs!!!] , a trip planned after a long long time , turned out to be memorable...

All fishes were caught on Mepps Aglia  size 4 & 5.

Murrel, Snakehead, Haruan - 3.2Kg

Dear Friends,

Let me also introduce you all to Mannan Farooqui, angler from Hyderabad.

Last week we planned a trip to Madhavreddy project. He caught a murrel, snakehead / Haruan of 3.2 kg on Aglia mepps of size 4 silver color.

Gangs of Madhavreddy - II

Dear friends,

Let me also introduce you all to Mr. Raj Kumar & his partner Reddy. They have created a new record in Murrel / Snakehead fishing. Reddy caught a monster Murrel of 7.55kg near Nagarjuna Sagar.

They have been catching Snakeheads from very long time but this is like a tropy.

Chand Bhai - Catla, murrel/snakehead and other carps.

Dear Friends,

Let me introduce you all with our friend and team member Mr. Chand bhai aka Chand bhai batterywale.

He is a very humble and seasoned angler with repute. With him he has record of catching huge fishes, specially carps like Rohu, catla, mirgal at Umada Sagar - a freshwater lake on the outskirts of Hyderabad.

He also has good record of catching Murrels / Snakehead. Have a look at the images and you'll know it.

He has more than 4 decades of experience in Angling. For us he is like a senior and guide.

I am trying to put few of the snaps from his album. Very soon i will post more pictures about his catches.

6.6 kg Snakehead / Murrel / Haruan

Dear Friends

This monster Snakehead / Murrel / Haruan was caught by our friend Ghouse Bhai at Kotepally.

This fish weighed 6.6 kg on the scale.

It gave a good fight and it was caught on regular spoon lure.

Kotepally has got some very big monsters snake heads of 10-15 kg. Hope we will catch one of them soon.

Murrel: Snakehead/Haruan/murrel

 Dear Friends,

We had a successful trip with four murrels/snakehads caught one day. We caught these fishes on 17th May.

The biggest you can see is of 4.9kg. The other two medium sizes one are of 3.5 each and the small one is of 1kg.

All the fishes were caught at Madhav reddy dam.

The 4.9kg+3.5kg were caught by Chand bhai and i caught the 3.5kg and 1kg murrel.

3.4 kg Murrel caught in Manjeera River

Hi,

This murrel / Snakehead was caught using a spinner at Manjeera river at (not to be disclosed) location. Caught by my friend James.

"To top off the trip an amazing snake head which i was luckey with as while it rushed in to the Reeds i pulled him out with so much of force that my Line had snapped but thank to Ben who had the other end with him and thanks to the snake head which landed just behind me could not land him as the place was full of reeds and very high water levels."

Certainly it is a memorable fish for James. Congrats James for such a lovely fish and wish more to come.
