Wallago of Chinoor, Gopalpet, Manjira River - Medak, India

Dear Friends,

This team has been going to this location on a regular basis. They know the complete geography of the location i mean not the whole river but just small patch where they go. Out of practice and lot of patience they learned and know where they are casting their spoon. The place where there is probability of the fish staying there. To summarize it, they know where the fish is in this location.

To reach this spot you need to drive down to Pocharam lake in medak. After you cross Pocharam ask for Gopalpet. There is one police station on RHS followed by a petrol stations. Ask there how to go to chinoor. After you reach there you'll find one mandir on RHS, there ask any village about the river (they call it Vaagu in telugu)

Monster Murrel - Hyderabad

Dear Friends,

Let me introduce you to Owaise Farooqui, one of the finest anglers of Hyderabad.

He has many such wonderful catches in his record. Owaise bhai is good at Sing ka shikar, this he had been doing it since so many years.

Nagarjunasagar Trip

Dear Friends

For anglers Charai at Nagarjunasagra means lots of Tilapia and Rohu.

We had some real good fishing session at Nagarjunasagar backwaters. As usual caught lots of Tilapia and this time we caught so many Rohu's.

We lost many of them since we were using set of 6 single hooks.

It was a very awesome day but only two fishes in bag.

Overall we had a lovely day with day long casting and trekking.

Murrel, Snakehead caught at Nagarjunasagar

Dear Friends,

Here is the picture i could not upload. These murrels / snakehead / Haruan were caught in October end at Nagarjunasagar.

It was raining murrels , yet another successful sojurn of the Masab Tank Gang lead by our captain.. Iqbal Bhai who stole the show with 3 catches [ 11 kgs!!!] , a trip planned after a long long time , turned out to be memorable...

All fishes were caught on Mepps Aglia  size 4 & 5.

Karim Sab with his 14kg Wolley / Pathen / Wallago attu

with loads of interest in Fishing.

He is a very well known person in the fishing related activities in twin cities.

He caught this 14kg wolley at Kotepally lake at Vikarabad sometime in 2009.

3.4 kg Murrel caught in Manjeera River

Hi,

This murrel / Snakehead was caught using a spinner at Manjeera river at (not to be disclosed) location. Caught by my friend James.

See what James said

"To top off the trip an amazing snake head which i was luckey with as while it rushed in to the Reeds i pulled him out with so much of force that my Line had snapped but thank to Ben who had the other end with him and thanks to the snake head which landed just behind me could not land him as the place was full of reeds and very high water levels."

Certainly it is a memorable fish for James. Congrats James for such a lovely fish and wish more to come.

5kg Nizam Sagar - Mulley

Dear Friends,

This Sunday we went Nizam Sagar, 160km from Hyderabad. Since it was 1st Jan and we had few more friends who joined us. Out of the team of 12 there were only 4 anglers. We had a lovely day. The weather and the location was just Superb.

Morning session:

We had fish fry for our lunch.

Evening Session

We started our second session after 4pm and caught 15 mulleys. You can see above the average size was 3.5kg.We had good time in the second session. All the fishes gave good fight.

Caught 10-Snakehead /Murrel/Haruan Fishing.

Dear Friends,

Hi,

We planned a trip on Sunday to a location near Hyderabad.

We were 4 anglers and caught 10 snakehead fishes on 25th December 2011.

All the fishes were released back in the water.

Find attached a video that shows a snakehead being released plus you can see another snakehead on left hand side in the water. We released all the fishes after the photo session. All the images are attached below.
